Founded by industry veterans, Summit Glazing Solutions embodies a rich tradition of excellence and innovation in shower screen design and installation. Our Story
How It Started
Summit Glazing Solutions was founded by mother and son duo Jane and Luke, and husband and wife, Mat and Lara. However, their story began long before Summit. When Luke entered the glazing trade, Mat was already a seasoned lead installer. Over more than 13 years working side by side, they built a reputation for quality and reliability, becoming a go-to team for major builders and earning respect throughout the community. Along the way, they developed a simple but powerful formula: care, quality, and precision.
After years of seeing the same problems across the industry, clients were treated like numbers, jobs were rushed, and customer service often fell short of expectations. With a shared drive to do better, they set out to create a company where experience met integrity, and every client genuinely mattered. That partnership became the foundation for something bigger.
Backed by a strong network of industry contacts and years of hard-won experience, Mat and Luke launched Summit Glazing Solutions with a clear mission to deliver craftsmanship and customer service that sets a new standard.
Sadly, with the passing of Jane, her legacy lives on with the Summit team leading from above with every step of the journey.

The People Behind the Panels
Mat Stephen
Director
Mat is one of two Directors at Summit Glazing Solutions, bringing 27 years of experience in the glass and glazing industry. Starting his apprenticeship at just 15 years old, Mat has built his career from the ground up, never straying from the trade he’s passionate about. He loves meeting new and returning customers and takes great pride in delivering quality products and outstanding customer service.
Mat holds a Level 3 Certificate in Glass and Glazing, is a QBCC licensed glazier, and has extensive experience across sales, factory supervision, installations, and quoting. His favourite quote, "Treat people how you wish to be treated," reflects the customer-first philosophy that drives Summit Glazing Solutions.
Outside of work, Mat enjoys playing golf, spending time with family, taking the boat out, cooking, and catching up with friends whenever he can.
Luke Leary
Director
Luke is one of two Directors at Summit Glazing Solutions and a qualified glazier with nearly two decades of hands-on experience in the industry. He kicked off his career at 21, starting in the factory where he learned the ins and outs of manufacturing. From there, he moved into installation, spending over 10 years on-site before stepping into measuring and management roles. This full-circle experience means Luke understands every part of the glazing process, start to finish.
He’s passionate about precision, proud of Summit’s top-tier workmanship, and a firm believer that it’s the little 1% extras that separate the best from the rest. His favourite quote says it all: “If you want to be the best, come join the best.”
Luke leads with integrity and energy, and when he’s off the clock, he’s all about family, good food, and a bit of adventure.
Lara Stephen
Accounts/Admin Manager
Lara is the Accounts and Administration Manager at Summit Glazing Solutions, bringing over 20 years of experience in administration, finance, and customer service. Known for her reliability and attention to detail, Lara keeps the back end of the business running smoothly while supporting the team and customers with a friendly, solutions-focused approach.
Her skills cover everything from financial reporting and cashflow management to project coordination, budgeting, and office administration. Lara believes in making the most of every day, reflected in her favourite quote, "Life’s too short to wait."
Family is at the heart of Lara’s world and making memories with loved ones is a top priority. Outside of work, she loves catching up with friends over coffee or drinks and heading to live music events whenever she can.
Nickia (Chico) Green
Operations Manager
G’day mate! Nickia Green, or just Chico to most, is the Operations Manager at Summit Glazing Solutions. He’s been in the glass game for over 10 years, kicking off with Craig’s International Ballistics, working on bulletproof glass for buildings and vehicles. From there, he rolled through gigs at Superkote Glass (production, QC, leadership, sales) and Gold Coast Shower Screens as Factory Manager before landing at his favourite spot yet, Summit Glazing.
Chico knows the glass industry inside out and reckons every problem’s just waiting for a smart solution. He’s got a white card, forklift licence, management certs, and a reputation for getting the job done without the fuss. His favourite quote sums it up: "Everything in the world is either a potato or it isn’t…" – wise words from someone (he thinks).
When he’s off the clock, Chico’s a family man through and through, hanging out with his wife and two sons, sneaking in some travel when he can, catching live gigs, and adding yet another band T-shirt to the collection. Always with music on, no matter what’s happening!
